What you will do

• Develop PLC, HMI & SCADA software and controls architectures for DAPS factories and modules.
• Architect new advanced automation systems, leading to detailed design, development, and commissioning of first article modules.
• Develop controls systems for new and experimental processes within an R&D environment.
• Contribute to automation standards, frameworks, best practices, and platform selection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure milestones are executed on time and within budget.
• Analyze production operations requirements to increase overall factory OPE through better module development and data usage.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• 5+ years of industrial automation controls experience in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 Structured Text programming.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Torrance, California.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT and the hardware ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, and UL508A standards.
• Experience designing electrical control panels using EPlan or AutoCAD.
• Expertise in industrial safety systems, risk assessments, and protocols like FSoE & PROFIsafe.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices, OOP, SOLID, and version control tools like GIT.
