Salary: $118,660 – $130,000 yearly

What you will do

• Support safety-related control system design, implementation, and validation activities.
• Generate and implement hardware and software engineering changes to sustain ride and show control systems.
• Troubleshoot control systems to support downtime response and recovery.
• Review vendor engineering designs and validate installations and test documentation.
• Create maintenance procedures and deliver technical training for controls equipment.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) to implement process improvements and reduce repeat failures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Control Systems Engineering (internships considered).
• Proficiency with Rockwell Automation products and software.
• Experience with PLCs, PACs, IPCs, Motor control, and VFDs.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Universal City, California.

Nice to have

• Experience in the theme park industry.
• Knowledge of Siemens S7 or Beckhoff CX controllers (TwinCAT).
• Experience with Python development and server-based HMI systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 12100, 13849) or TÜV Functional Safety certification.
• Experience with network systems and version control (Git).
