TL;DR

Location: Must be based in New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $220,000 - $230,000 USD

What you will do
- Set the technical vision and roadmap for the data platform across business lines including Trading, Custody, and Asset Management.
- Architect, build, and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines from design through production.
- Develop high-throughput, low-latency data processing systems within the Databricks and Spark ecosystem.
- Build cloud-native data solutions on AWS, leveraging dbt for transformation and Airflow for orchestration.
- Mentor other engineers, lead code reviews, and drive technical design decisions to raise engineering quality.
- Own production reliability, leading incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering or distributed systems, including technical leadership.
- Expert hands-on coding experience in Python or Java.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale production data platforms.
- Deep experience with AWS, Databricks, Spark, dbt, and Airflow.
- Must be based in New York, NY.
Nice to have
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Spring, Guice, or HK2.
- Experience with Docker.
- Prior experience working in the Crypto industry.
- Experience with the full lifecycle development of commercial systems.
