What you will do

• Architect, design, and build big data processing platforms handling tens of TBs/day, serving thousands of clients, and supporting advanced analytics workloads
• Set technical direction and influence across teams to align data platform investments with engineering and product strategy
• Design, develop, and test data-driven products, features, and scalable APIs
• Operate production environments, investigate issues, assess impact, and develop feasible solutions
• Bridge business/product requirements with technical details and work in multi-functional agile teams with end-to-end delivery responsibility
• Drive adoption of AI coding tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve developer productivity and SDLC efficiency

Requirements

• 10+ years of programming experience in software engineering and 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python, able to operate fluently in either language across production codebases
• Deep understanding of big data technologies and 5+ years with platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Spark, and Pub/Sub ecosystem (Kafka Connect/Kafka Streams/Kinesis)
• Excellent knowledge of SQL query writing and data modeling
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with DevOps practices and tooling (build servers, Docker, Kubernetes) and full-stack development (backend API services like REST/gRPC plus a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular)
