Vacancy: Industrial Automation Engineer / Mechatronics Engineer

About the Project: SolidCAM () is looking for a specialist to handle manufacturing digitalization projects in CNC metalworking.
The primary focus is the deployment and configuration of the specialized software solution (SolidSHOP / CIMCO) for real-time data collection and analysis, and seamless integration of shop floor data with corporate ERP/MES systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Connectivity: Configure machine tool communication using industrial protocols (Fanuc FOCAS, MTConnect, OPC UA, Modbus) and legacy serial RS-232 interfaces.
Program Logic Design:  Configure program logic using events, timers, counters, triggers with the specialized software (SolidSHOP / CIMCO).
Data Integration: Architect automated data exchange workflows with external databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and web services (SOAP/JSON) to manage job information and production results.

Candidate Requirements:

Background: Degree in Industrial Automation, Systems Integration, or IT with significant industrial experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in networking (TCP/IP) and serial communication.
Database skills: Proficiency in SQL queries and ODBC driver configuration.
Understanding of industrial control systems and machine automation principles
Familiarity with PLC architecture, I/O modules, and signal flow
Analytical Skills: Ability to construct complex logic using expressions (AND/OR logic, variables, and constants).
Language: Technical English (ability to read complex documentation and API specifications).
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with automation equipment installation and setup, including signal acquisition, communication, and basic PLC logic implementation
Understanding of CNC controller operations (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Heidenhain, Siemens) – will be an advantage.
Important:
We do not expect prior experience with SolidShop / CIMCO software — training, guidance, and support will be provided
