Senior Staff GenAI Engineer - Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid workplace

Salary: $272,000–$340,000 USD yearly, plus equity and possible variable compensation.

What you will do

• Own GenAI initiatives within APM, leading the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered features across multiple teams.
• Define the long-term technical strategy for agentic GenAI workflows across APM and related products.
• Build, benchmark, evaluate, and optimize GenAI/ML models using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build automated investigation and incident-triaging tools.
• Influence product direction and advocate for end-user needs in a product-driven environment.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership through design reviews, technical talks, and working groups.

Requirements

• BS, MS, PhD in a scientific field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 4+ years leading cross-team technical initiatives.
• Proven experience leading large-scale GenAI/ML initiatives in a product-driven environment.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in model development, deployment, evaluation, optimization, and end-to-end ML systems.
• Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives, solve ambiguous challenges, and provide clear technical direction.
• Experience using AI coding tools and validating, critiquing, and refining AI-generated output.
