Salary: $170,000 - $253,000 USD

What you will do

• Serve as tech lead or primary design owner for projects within the AI BU, driving them from design to delivery.
• Design and build high-quality software systems, owning technical correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Author design documents and RFCs while participating in cross-team design reviews.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and enforce best practices in system design, testing, and observability.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, including technical debt, scalability limits, and reliability gaps.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with exposure to large-scale distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience as a technical lead or primary design owner.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Working knowledge of agentic engineering using local and/or frontier models.
• Exposure to Distributed Storage Systems and AI/ML systems.
• Must be based in or able to work from the US (San Jose or Morrisville locations).

Nice to have

• Experience with Distributed Database Systems.
• Experience with training and deploying AI models.
• Experience with GPU workloads and accelerated computing infrastructure.
