What you will do
- Develop AI systems to automate dispute and chargeback handling using structured evidence and business logic.
- Build models to automate refunds to return money to customers faster.
- Build and maintain evidence extraction pipelines processing unstructured data via LLM-powered workflows.
- Prototype new modeling ideas, conduct offline experiments, and drive high-performing approaches into production.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and ML Platform teams to define requirements and evaluate tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer.
- Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
- Experience with tabular classification problems using gradient-boosted decision trees (LightGBM, XGBoost, or CatBoost).
- Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
- Familiarity with unstructured data processing such as PDF/image extraction and text parsing.
- Experience with ML lifecycle tooling including Kubeflow, Airflow, or MLflow.
- Must be based in Canada.
