What you will do

  • Develop AI systems to automate dispute and chargeback handling using structured evidence and business logic.
  • Build models to automate refunds to return money to customers faster.
  • Build and maintain evidence extraction pipelines processing unstructured data via LLM-powered workflows.
  • Prototype new modeling ideas, conduct offline experiments, and drive high-performing approaches into production.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and ML Platform teams to define requirements and evaluate tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer.
  • Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
  • Experience with tabular classification problems using gradient-boosted decision trees (LightGBM, XGBoost, or CatBoost).
  • Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
  • Familiarity with unstructured data processing such as PDF/image extraction and text parsing.
  • Experience with ML lifecycle tooling including Kubeflow, Airflow, or MLflow.
  • Must be based in Canada.
