Cloud Engineer, Automation (Healthcare)

Location: Remote — must be located in Ontario, Canada

hirify.global builds a health data platform and data management solutions used in over 20 countries.

• Own build and release engineering: consolidate Azure DevOps pipeline YAML into shared reusable templates with change detection and quality gates.
• Implement GitOps-based continuous delivery with automated reconciliation, drift detection and rollback.
• Automate line-of-business environments end to end, provisioned on demand across Azure services.
• Automate backup, restore, failover and recurring DR drills with measured RTO and RPO.
• Maintain Helm and Terraform configuration, run in-cluster platform services and harden Kubernetes workloads.
• Implement AI-assisted engineering practices and package knowledge into reusable skills and runbooks.

• 6+ years of cloud/DevOps/platform engineering experience, including 1–2+ years with IaC and CI/CD on Microsoft Azure in production.
• Deep Terraform skills: module design, state management, provider versioning, refactoring.
• Helm chart authoring and recent Kubernetes/AKS experience.
• Knowledge of Azure services (AKS, Key Vault, Storage, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, networking, identity) and observability as code.
• Hands-on Kafka operations and strong Python and Bash skills.
• Experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) with data confidentiality practices.

• FinOps and Azure Cost Management experience.
• Regulated environment experience (healthcare, PHI).
• Certifications: HashiCorp Terraform Associate, AZ-104/AZ-400/AZ-305, CKA/CKAD.
