Network Test Engineer III (AI)

TL;DR

Network Test Engineer III (Networking/AI): Providing support for Networking Products through customer-specific testing and automation for releases and solutions with an accent on L2/L3 protocols and multi-dimensional scaled solutions. Focus on designing programming changes for systems software, executing complex test plans, and debugging software issues using automation tools.

Location: Hybrid (expectation to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain expertise on networking products deployed within specific customer networks.
• Design enhancements and programming changes for systems software, including operating systems, networking, and databases.
• Write and execute test plans, protocols, and documentation to identify and debug code issues.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners to create reliable, high-quality solutions.
• Communicate design proposals and negotiate options with technical partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of experience in networking.
• Expertise in internet protocols (TCP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6) and L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF/ISIS, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, etc.).
• Knowledge of CLOS Architecture, HA Design Concepts, and Layer 2 technologies.
• Experience in automated test execution using Python, Pytest, Go, or other scripting languages.
• Proficiency with networking test equipment such as Spirent and Ixia, including automation.
