Cloud Network Test Engineer

What you will do

• Own functional and reliability testing for Cloud Enterprise Network and Transit Router features, including route propagation, policies, cross-account and cross-region attachments, conflict handling, and convergence at scale.
• Test Cloud Express Connect features such as physical line access, VBR configuration, BGP peering, BFD failover, bandwidth, QoS, and end-to-end CPE interconnection.
• Validate VPC networking, including subnets, routing, security groups, ACLs, ENI, EIP/NAT, VPC peering, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Test data-plane forwarding, encapsulation, MTU and fragmentation, ECMP hashing, high-availability failover, performance, capacity, and control-plane convergence.
• Build automated test frameworks, integrate them with CI pipelines, and establish fault-injection and long-duration stability testing.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews, improve testability and observability, and lead root-cause analysis of production issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in network testing, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale network operations, with a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, communications, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of cross-region and hybrid-cloud interconnect products such as Alibaba Cloud CEN, AWS Transit Gateway, or Direct Connect.
• Strong expertise in BGP and familiarity with BFD, VRRP, OSPF, and static routing.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN/QinQ, VXLAN, EVPN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, and conntrack.
• Proficiency in Linux networking and packet-level troubleshooting using tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and ethtool.
• Experience with traffic generation, physical and virtual network test beds, Python or Go automation, pytest or Robot Framework, Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and network devices.

Nice to have

• Carrier or IDC dedicated-line delivery experience.
• SDN control-plane testing experience.
• CCIE or HCIE certification.
• AI/GPU cloud networking or RoCE experience.
