What you will do

• Design and build platform solutions to improve developer experience, including internal developer portals and software catalogs.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for developer metrics and DORA reporting using ADLS, Databricks, dbt, and Grafana.
• Lead architecture decisions for scalable, cloud-native platform systems and decompose complex business problems into technical designs.
• Guide and mentor teammates through code reviews, pairing, and technical feedback.
• Own production systems via on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Define and build frameworks for AI tooling discoverability and governance to enable responsible adoption of AI agents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Go, TypeScript, or C#.
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications on Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in data engineering concepts, including SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Ability to lead technical projects, manage cross-team alignment, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience with observability tooling and telemetry to drive system improvements.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Backstage or similar internal developer portals.
• Familiarity with DORA metrics or engineering productivity frameworks.
• Experience building or integrating LLM-based systems, AI agents, or tool-calling protocols.
• Contributions to open-source projects within developer tooling or AI/ML ecosystems.
