What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure for ingesting and transforming engineering data.
• Design and implement backend services and APIs balancing speed, flexibility, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to design data products and platform features.
• Solve complex technical challenges related to engineering operations in the AI era.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience with ownership of critical components or services.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript + Node.js and/or Python.
• Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and strong database fundamentals (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience building production-ready web services, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and orchestration frameworks.
• English: C1 level required for technical calls and written communication.
• Location: Must be based in San Mateo, CA to meet in-person several days a week.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with engineering analytics or developer-productivity tooling.
• Familiarity with IaC, containers, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience using coding agents for AI-assisted development.
• Knowledge of engineering metrics such as DORA and code quality.
