Research Scientist (Quantum Computing)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; the role also states that daily onsite presence at the San Jose office is required.

Base pay range: $112,000–$168,000 USD per year, with additional incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Conduct advanced independent and collaborative research in quantum computing.
• Develop novel quantum algorithms and methodologies.
• Perform theoretical and computational analysis, validate results, and interpret research findings.
• Publish research in peer-reviewed venues and present at professional conferences.
• Plan and execute strategic research programs while collaborating with leading academic institutes.
• Prepare regular research reports and support team development and self-management.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quantum computing, ideally focused on theory and algorithms.
• Daily onsite presence at the San Jose office is required.
