Staff Software Engineer (Cloud Network Security)

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in San Jose, CA (office attendance 3 days a week)

Salary: $129,500 - $185,000 USD

What you will do

• Define software design specifications and implement high-quality code using TDD and AI-based tools.
• Refactor existing code to improve maintainability and reusability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, UI, Platform, and QA.
• Partner with Product Management to define and drive detailed product requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve complex customer issues with full ownership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale, scalable applications using Python or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking (Transit Gateway, IGW, NATGW, Route53, etc.).
• Strong skills in software design, profiling, and performance optimization.
• Ability to perform unit testing and automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be based in San Jose, CA and able to work from the office three days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems and SaaS development.
• Deep knowledge of Firewalls and Networking protocols.
• Familiarity with identity management and authentication.
