What you will do

• Own the end-to-end technical vision and evolution of the RBVM and its supporting services.
• Translate ambiguous product and business goals into concrete technical strategies and execution plans.
• Develop production code, establishing high standards for design quality and operational rigor.
• Lead architectural decisions for scalable backend systems, balancing velocity, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor and develop engineers through technical coaching, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to deliver cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in software architecture and distributed or service-oriented systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Go, Rust, Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning and graph databases like Neo4j.
• Familiarity with GraphQL backends and ETL pipelines (e.g., Airflow).
• Experience with observability stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Background in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or security analytics.
