What you will do

• Reduce latency and infrastructure costs for the retrieval system to improve AI feature performance.
• Enhance search relevance and quality to ensure users find necessary information efficiently.
• Expand retrieval capabilities to support new Asana objects and third-party data sources.
• Build and optimize search infrastructure using OpenSearch and ElasticSearch.
• Contribute to ML-powered features including embeddings-based retrieval and semantic search.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in New York City and Warsaw.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience writing production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience in search engineering, specifically with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch.
• Experience with embeddings and machine learning approaches to search and retrieval.
• Must be based in New York City to support the office-centric hybrid model.
• Curiosity about AI technology and its application to solve complex problems.
