TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (3 office days), must be based in Durham or New York

What you will do

  • Manage the annual compensation review process, including Workday configuration and testing.
  • Drive market intelligence strategy by administering benchmarking tools and executing position-to-market analyses.
  • Maintain compensation data integrity in Workday and use data storytelling to provide leadership insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Recruiters regarding internal and external offers aligned with company philosophy.
  • Manage the equity program, serving as the primary expert for employee inquiries and training.
  • Lead high-priority total rewards projects in collaboration with Finance, Payroll, and HRIS.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in compensation.
  • Hands-on expertise managing compensation data in Workday (Advanced Compensation module).
  • Strong understanding of FLSA, pay equity legislation, and state/local requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, modeling, and large data sets).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Payfactors or other benchmarking software.
  • Experience with equity administration software and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) programs.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or similar certifications.
  • Previous experience in the Life Sciences or technology industries.
