What you will do

• Develop strategic roadmaps for next-generation network and firewall systems across Cloud, LAN, WAN, and Wireless platforms.
• Architect and implement mature Software-Defined Networking (SDN) models and drive network-as-code automation.
• Integrate SASE and ZTNA frameworks into infrastructure designs to ensure security-by-design.
• Create detailed low-level engineering designs and build instructions for operations teams.
• Act as a Tier-3 escalation point for P1/P2 incidents and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional security and architecture teams to approve standards and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Decatur, IL
• Extensive experience designing and implementing vendor-agnostic SDN platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Azure Cloud Networking, and MPLS.
• Deep understanding of L2/L3 connectivity, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, TLS, and DNS/DHCP.
• Proven experience defining requirements for SASE, ZTNA, and Secure Web Gateway solutions.
• CCNP certification or equivalent high-level industry certification.
