Senior Network Engineer (Network Infrastructure): Designing, implementing, and managing a world-class network architecture to ensure the availability, security, and resiliency of employee access and systems with an accent on multisite hybrid WAN topology and cloud connectivity. Focus on modernizing corporate infrastructure, optimizing wireless deployments, and resolving complex operational challenges in a rapidly growing environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Durham, NC (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $146,000–$224,000

What you will do

• Manage and optimize a multisite hybrid WAN topology across offices, colocation facilities, and cloud providers.
• Lead the modernization of corporate network infrastructure to support rapid growth and evolving security threats.
• Perform hands-on maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting for switches, firewalls, and network equipment.
• Collaborate with security and datacenter teams to optimize network-heavy workflows and virtualization demands.
• Deploy network monitoring and visibility tooling to proactively sustain performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, WAN topology, and security zones.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a similar role
• CCNP certification required
• Expert level network troubleshooting skills including deep packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark)
• Experience with Cisco FTD, Meraki, and ZTNA products (e.g., Cisco Secure Access, Tailscale)
• Strong understanding of network services including DNS, DHCP, BGP, and IPv6
• Direct experience providing resilient connectivity to public cloud providers

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with hirify.global
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with Github and Cloudflare
• Knowledge of virtualization and common OS environments (Windows, Linux, MacOS)
