What you will do

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for platform infrastructure, reliability, and scalability.
• Design and review complex system architectures to support business growth.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and technical patterns across multiple teams.
• Improve system observability, incident response processes, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders to align technical investments with business priorities.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to elevate organizational capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale backend platforms and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise building, scaling, and modernizing production Django applications.
• Expert-level experience architecting and operating cloud environments within AWS.
• Advanced knowledge of Postgres architecture, performance optimization, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated success driving engineering decisions and influencing technical direction across teams.
