What you will do
- Own the full hardware development lifecycle, including requirements definition, modeling, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and validation.
- Define and implement low voltage electrical architecture for cabinet-based systems, covering microprocessors, power distribution, and signal routing.
- Select and integrate LV components such as microcontrollers, interface circuits, fuses, and relays based on reliability targets.
- Create system block diagrams and harness documentation to support cross-functional development.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on enclosure layout, cable routing, and grounding strategies to optimize EMI/EMC performance.
- Ensure system compliance with safety and regulatory standards such as UL, CE, and IEC.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in low voltage electrical system design, specifically with cabinet-level architecture in energy, automotive, or industrial control sectors.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools, specifically Altium.
- Hands-on experience with debugging and validating electrical systems using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and volume production processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with LV systems operating within high-voltage environments.
- Familiarity with fieldbus communication protocols such as CAN or industrial ethernet.
- Knowledge of control cabinet UL/IEC compliance, including wire derating and thermal considerations.
- Experience managing cable assemblies and wiring harnesses with third-party suppliers.
- Experience with failure mode analysis and root cause investigations of LV systems.
