What you will do

• Develop conceptual power architectures and conduct trade studies to support key design decisions.
• Design and validate PCBAs for critical humanoid components, including power converters and motor controllers.
• Support and lead design reviews for schematics and layouts.
• Contribute to system integration and test activities, including execution and debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in power electronics.
• Knowledge of power converter topologies and control theory.
• Experience working with low voltage (<60V) DC/DC power converters or motor controllers.
• Experience sizing and designing discrete power electronics (controllers, gate drivers, MOSFETs, inductors, XFRMs, caps, sensing, etc).
• Must be based in San Jose, CA for 5 days/week onsite work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium and PCB layout for power converters and EMC mitigations.
• Experience simulating power electronic circuits.
• Experience with high voltage applications and protection circuitry.
• Knowledge of embedded control systems and/or digital power control.
• Strong knowledge of C or Python.
