What you will do

• Design and engineer components for bench-scale robotics and full-size lab automation workcells.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on CAD design and analysis.
• Prototype and test solutions using 3D printing and other fabrication methods.
• Develop static fixtures and multi-axis motion assemblies.
• Support assembly and build processes under senior engineering guidance.
• Manage discrete project tasks from specification to final delivery.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Experience with SolidWorks CAD (Parts and Assemblies) or similar parametric 3D software.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA, USA.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of GD&T.
• Experience designing for Milling, Lathing, Sheet Metal, or 3D Printing.
• Previous co-op/internship experience in industrial or lab automation.
• Knowledge of robotics, industrial controls, electrical engineering, or automation software.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM.
