What you will do

• Coordinate with Operations, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and R&D teams to prioritize automation work.
• Recruit, develop, and guide automation engineers and technicians to accomplish plant objectives.
• Identify and resolve resource conflicts within the automation team.
• Provide PLC and HMI-based control system support for productivity and quality improvement projects.
• Work with plant teams to identify capital needs to support the overall business plan.
• Lead and enforce a culture of safety, health, and environment within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of experience working with automation and control systems.
• Proven success in project management within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and communicate with technical teams.
• Ability to prioritize projects in conjunction with plant goals.

Nice to have

• Prior leadership experience in a technical environment.
• Experience in optical fiber or other highly automated manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with control system architectures and communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience programming PLCs, HMIs, and other control system devices.
