What you will do

• Perform pre-flight inspections and maintenance checks of UAS equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Conduct flight tests to evaluate UAS performance, reliability, and safety according to QA standards.
• Operate and maintain various sUAS platforms including multi-rotor and fixed-wing aircraft.
• Record and analyze flight logs, sensor data, and visual recordings to identify system improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and developers to iterate on UAS designs and deployment.
• Ensure all operations comply with FAA regulations and safety standards through risk assessments.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in the drone industry.
• Part 107 FAA Remote Pilot Certificate and 25 documented hours as PIC.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required (ITAR/EAR compliance).
• Strong technical knowledge of UAS platforms and associated hardware.
• Ability to maintain visual line of sight of UAS up to 1 kilometer.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (Morning/Swing) and overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, or UAS Technology.
• Previous experience as a professional test pilot or military aviation background.
• Familiarity with PX4, Ardupilot, Mavlink, QGroundControl, and ATAK.
• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and FAA Drone Zone/LAANC.
• Experience with FPV drones (hobby or racing).
