What you will do

  • Plan and execute field tests for radar and sensing systems.
  • Deploy and operate drones, networking equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Collect, organize, and document test data for engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues in real-time.
  • Collaborate with engineering to identify problems and improve system performance.
  • Set up, maintain, and transport test equipment to various outdoor locations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical, testing, operations, or engineering support role.
  • Experience working with technical equipment, electronic systems, or sensor platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Must be located in or able to work onsite in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Nice to have

  • Experience operating drones or possessing an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Experience with RF systems, radar systems, or wireless communications equipment.
  • Familiarity with Linux, scripting, or Python.
  • Experience with networking concepts, IP configuration, routers, or satellite communications (e.g., Starlink).
  • Background in military electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, or defense.
