Principal Presales Engineer (German)

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to execute opportunity qualification, PoCs, RFPs, and technical presentations.
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer pains and design innovative solutions using Twilio APIs.
• Build and present complex, interactive product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor, recommending best-practice architectures for communications products.
• Mentor junior Presales Engineers and contribute reusable materials to the engineering community.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Proficient German speaker (C1 level).
• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or 10+ years in technical support/consulting.
• Previous software development experience in backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP) or frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Strong expertise in REST APIs and experience with Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience working with customers in the DACH region.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud application architecture.
