Lead Architect - Pre-sales (m/f/d)

Location: Remote from Slovakia; based in or working remotely within Slovakia only due to European taxation regulations. The company is located in Košice, Slovakia.

Salary: Negotiable base salary, with a minimum of €2,500 gross per month, plus a variable part and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Lead pre-sales activities and act as the senior technical advisor and solution architect for complex customer opportunities and transformation programs.
• Conduct customer workshops in English, analyze business and technical requirements, and translate them into end-to-end solution architectures and service designs.
• Prepare and defend solution proposals, technical and commercial concepts, RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, customer presentations, migration concepts, and transformation roadmaps.
• Work with sales and account teams on deal qualification and closure, including effort estimation, service costing, resource planning, and technical risk assessment.
• Lead international virtual teams of up to 15 internal resources, suppliers, and vendors, and coordinate customers, sales, delivery, and operations.
• Act as senior escalation point and approver for architecture decisions and technical risks while governing solution design, implementation, transition, and handover to operational delivery teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, at least 6 years of professional IT experience, and a relevant field-specific professional certification.
• Recognized process or methodology certification and good IT process knowledge corresponding to an industry-standard certification.
• Expert-level knowledge of operating systems, networking technologies, relevant domain-specific applications, and ICT environments, preferably verified through professional-level certification exams from multiple vendors.
• Advanced knowledge of IT security principles and technologies, programming languages, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, service-oriented architecture, and building architecture roadmaps.
• Experience in project management, quality management processes, training, mentoring, and coaching others.
• Ability to establish, implement, and enforce standards; create and maintain technical documentation for complex solutions; and understand organizational structures, tools, KPIs, and their connection with quality management.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, presentation, negotiation, leadership, financial literacy, business awareness, and collaborative working skills.
• Advanced English proficiency at C1 level.
