Salesforce Technical Architect

Location: Livingston, United Kingdom; hybrid working between the Livingston office and home.

What you will do

• Partner with product owners and solution architects to deliver Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, Communications, Experience, and Marketing Clouds.
• Drive Salesforce technical design best practices and support a community of technical designers.
• Perform technical analysis, architecture, design, and implementation support using out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities and customisation where needed.
• Improve engineering, DevOps, Scrum, user support, security, quality, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Support and enhance CPQ, EPC, CLM, and OM features through iterative agile releases.
• Manage, train, and advise Salesforce developers and architects working with Visualforce, Lightning, Apex, APIs, and Communications Cloud components.

Requirements

• Extensive, in-depth experience with Salesforce Digital Commerce and related business processes, including Communications Cloud, Vlocity, CPQ, EPC, OM, CLM, Sales, Service, Experience, and Marketing Clouds; communications-industry experience is preferred.
• Experience designing and developing with OmniScripts, Data Raptors, OmniStudio Cards, Product Designer, Pricing Designer, Digital Commerce, cart-based APIs, Lightning Web Components, Apex, Triggers, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, Integration Procedures, Orchestration Plans, and event-driven integrations.
• Experience integrating external systems through SOAP, REST, Bulk APIs, Platform Events, and Streaming APIs.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Core and Communications Cloud performance considerations and techniques for preventing performance degradation.
• Knowledge of CPQ capabilities including assetization, product lifecycle management, Digital Commerce, cart-based APIs, and external APIs.
• Experience building complex, scalable, high-performance software systems, including object modelling and object-oriented design patterns successfully delivered to customers.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Vlocity Build or Vlocity IDX, and SFDX.
• Ability to lead, train, and advise Salesforce developers and architects.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TOGAF principles.
• Knowledge of SonarQube or other static code analysis tools.
• Knowledge of ELK or Splunk for log analysis.
