What you will do

• Apply 3D Design Variation Analysis (DVA) methods to validate vehicle concepts, architectures, and design capability.
• Build and maintain 3DCS tolerance simulation models and analyze results against vehicle gap, flush, aesthetic, and functional targets.
• Define and govern vehicle dimensional control strategy across exterior and interior systems with Perceived Quality, Design, Manufacturing, and Vehicle Engineering teams.
• Support vehicle-level gap & flush target definition and raise validated dimensional concerns via the client faults management system.
• Provide Engineering Release (ER) sign-off across components for new model programmes and influence dimensional control concept decisions (product and process capability).
• Ensure FT&A and GD&T are applied correctly in line with BS8888 / ISO 1101, including datum strategy concepts for jigs, fixtures, and measurement plans.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience using 3DCS tolerance analysis software for vehicle-level DVA.
• Strong background in dimensional engineering, tolerance analysis, and variation reduction.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and FT&A, including application to BS8888 standards.
• Experience delivering dimensional quality within new product development programmes.
• Methodical, analytical problem-solving approach and ability to work cross-functionally to influence engineering decisions.
