What you will do

• Define how AI is engineered at scale: design, build, evaluate, and run AI-native product experiences with reliability and compliance.
• Lead spec-driven development for AI by setting expected behaviors, constraints, edge cases, and success criteria before shipping.
• Build reusable AI foundations and modular AI “skills” that automate workflows safely, traceably, and especially where finance is involved.
• Establish robust evaluation frameworks with automated checks and human-in-the-loop signals for quality, safety, and reliability.
• Shape RAG strategies to ground AI in trusted data while balancing probabilistic models with deterministic sources of truth.
• Architect human-in-the-loop and agentic workflows, and own systems end-to-end while partnering with Product, Design, and Leadership.

Requirements

• Solid depth in both backend and frontend software engineering.
• Experience shipping real products to production (not only prototypes).
• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, and system design; experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven ability to build real AI-powered systems or workflows.
• Technical and cultural leadership: drive key decisions, raise engineering standards, and mentor/hire.
• Clear communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
