What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end design and annual refresh of compensation plans for Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and GTM roles.
  • Build first-principles compensation frameworks tailored to outcome-based pricing and paid POC conversion models.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to project the cost and attainment impact of plan design choices.
  • Track in-year performance, identify design gaps, and surface insights for ongoing plan adjustments.
  • Manage compensation policy and documentation to ensure total clarity for reps and managers.
  • Partner with Finance on expense planning and accruals, and with HR on benchmarking and leveling.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in sales compensation design and administration within enterprise B2B software or AI companies.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with the precision required by Finance departments.
  • Ability to apply design thinking to identify and fix unintended incentives in compensation plans.
  • Direct communication skills to explain complex mechanics to stakeholders from sales reps to the CFO.
  • Collaborative approach to working across Finance, HR, Legal, and GTM leadership.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create operational playbooks from scratch.

  • Experience with outcome-based, usage-based, or consumption pricing models.
  • Experience designing compensation plans across global geographies.
