TL;DR

Compensation Analyst, Equity & Executive Compensation (Finance/AI): Designing and supporting compensation frameworks for exceptional talent with an accent on equity and executive pay. Focus on building analytical models for dilution, stock-based compensation, and budgeting to inform strategic pay decisions.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, USA (3 days in office). Relocation assistance available.

Salary: $234,000 – $260,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Design pay for new-hires, promotions, and executive programs through quantitative analysis and recommendations.
  • Maintain analytical models for equity usage, dilution, stock-based compensation, and scenario planning.
  • Lead cross-functional analytics projects from scoping to delivery, aligning stakeholders on outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial tradeoffs across compensation programs.
  • Perform market benchmarking, data reviews, and pay-positioning analyses.
  • Prepare decision-ready materials for senior leadership while ensuring rigorous data integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, finance, or people analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for handling large, sensitive datasets.
  • Experience evaluating market data, budgets, forecasts, or compensation program outcomes.
  • Ability to own complex projects and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain quantitative findings.
  • Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco; remote applications are not considered.

  • Experience with equity compensation, executive compensation, or other complex compensation programs.
