What you will do

• Own cross-functional product counseling across the entire build cycle from discovery to launch.
• Translate complex regulatory frameworks into pragmatic controls and go-to-market guardrails.
• Draft and negotiate client terms and conditions with business-aligned positions.
• Lead licensing and registration workstreams, including regulator interactions and application management.
• Support incident and supervisory responses with well-reasoned written submissions.
• Foster a culture of clarity by providing decision-ready recommendations to non-lawyer stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer (Solicitor/Barrister of England & Wales, Irish Solicitor/Barrister, or equivalent admitted in an EU Member State).
• 10+ years’ PQE in financial services law within a regulated institution or private practice.
• Experience advising on regulated MiFID investment services and familiarity with crypto-asset regimes like MiCA and AMLD5.
• Demonstrated experience leading licensing or registration efforts and managing regulator engagement.
• Outstanding analytical, drafting, and organizational skills with crisp, plain-English writing.
• Pragmatic approach to legal risk that prioritizes providing stakeholders with actionable options.

Nice to have

• Expertise in the MiCA framework applicable to CASPs.
• Expertise in EMIR, including clearing obligations and transaction reporting.
• Familiarity with using AI tools like Enterprise GPTs to increase legal service efficiency.
