Category Buyer (Defence Technology)

Location: Munich, Germany; full-time, permanent onsite position

hirify.global develops and manufactures software-defined, scalable unmanned systems for defence applications and NATO Allies and Partners.

What you will do

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies from procurement through delivery.
• Manage inventory levels, safety stock, and supply continuity while minimizing shortages and overstocking.
• Select, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including negotiating contracts and commercial terms.
• Identify supply chain bottlenecks, mitigate risks, and implement operational improvements.
• Monitor logistics costs and prepare supply chain performance reports and analyses.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, quality, logistics, sales, and external partners.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, analytical skills, and numerical understanding.
• Ability to identify complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Structured, independent, goal-oriented working style with strong teamwork and ownership.
• Business-fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite.
• German language skills are strongly preferred.
