Structural Designer (Renewable Energy)

TL;DR

Structural Designer (Renewable Energy): Designing and detailing steel, concrete, and foundation systems for utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, and substations with an accent on constructability and code compliance. Focus on producing high-quality construction deliverables and coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Location: Remote (USA) or Lakewood, CO. Must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis

Salary: $32.00 - $47.00 Hourly

What you will do

• Perform detailed structural design and drafting for PV solar arrays, wind turbine foundations, BESS, and substation steel.
• Produce comprehensive drawing packages including foundation plans, reinforcing details, and steel framing elevations.
• Support engineers with design calculations, construction details, and material take-offs.
• Coordinate designs with civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines to ensure alignment.
• Review vendor drawings and perform limited field inspections to verify as-built conditions.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Associates degree in a related field preferred.
• 3-5+ years of drafting, design, or engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong command of the English language.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of modeling software PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with MicroStation.
