TL;DR
Talent & Development Specialist (HR): Managing end-to-end recruitment and capability development for the Japan business with an accent on talent acquisition, learning frameworks, and performance quality. Focus on designing onboarding programs, developing KPI scorecards, and optimizing the local recruitment lifecycle.
Location: In-office role based in Tokyo, Japan

What you will do
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for Japan-based positions, from sourcing through onboarding.
- Design and track onboarding, functional, and leadership development programs.
- Develop and govern Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and role-specific capability frameworks.
- Create KPI scorecards and performance measurement systems to improve business outcomes.
- Partner with the CEO and Managing Director of the Japan business to align local priorities with global people strategies.
- Collaborate with the global Learning & Development function to share best practices.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Tokyo
- Languages: Near-native Japanese and business-level English proficiency
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, L&D, or HR Development.
- Proven track record of independently managing full-cycle recruitment.
- Experience using Japanese recruitment platforms (DODA, Mynavi, en-tenshoku, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience within a multinational or international organization.
- Experience supporting sales, marketing, or commercial functions.
- Professional HR or L&D certifications.
- Experience with instructional design or e-learning technologies.
