Location: Must be based in Tokyo, Japan. This role follows an office-centric hybrid schedule with mandatory in-office days.

What you will do

  • Build and implement department-level talent strategies that align with business outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to functional leads across Japan, APAC, and global teams.
  • Lead large-scale organizational change initiatives and manage complex people situations.
  • Collaborate with global People Partners and Centers of Excellence on core programs like performance management and onboarding.
  • Interpret people data to identify trends and champion a data-driven culture.
  • Influence strategic planning forums as the essential people voice.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of HR experience as a strategic HR Business Partner or Organizational Consultant.
  • Deep local HR experience in Japan and APAC, specifically in Japanese employee and labor relations.
  • Professional fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
  • Proven track record in navigating large-scale organizational change and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work from the Tokyo office on a hybrid schedule.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision-making.
