AI Enabler (AI Engineering)

TL;DR

AI Enabler (AI Engineering): Leading the adoption and integration of agentic AI tooling and developer experience (DevX) across the Payments team with an accent on agentic workflows, compliance, and team enablement. Focus on redesigning delivery around AI-assisted sprints, maintaining a secure agentic toolchain, and driving engineering velocity in a regulated environment.

Location: Must hold a valid work permit for Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, or Germany. The role is hybrid-friendly with regular in-person collaboration days.

What you will do

• Embed agentic workflows across the entire software development lifecycle including planning, coding, and QA.
• Evaluate, select, and maintain the team's AI development stack including tools like Devin, Claude Code, and Copilot.
• Redesign delivery processes to support agent-assisted sprints and autonomous production issue triage.
• Ensure all agent-generated code meets strict PCI DSS Level 1 regulatory and security standards.
• Document workflows, prompts, and guardrails to ensure knowledge compounds as the organization grows.
• Optionally take on line management responsibilities for the Payments team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in web or backend systems.
• Deep, practical experience with agentic AI development tools in production workflows.
• Must hold a valid work permit for Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, or Germany.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, and observability.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and enable others through workshops and pairing sessions.
• Experience working within regulated environments such as financial services or healthcare.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with PHP, Symfony, or Laravel.
• Prior experience driving AI/DevX adoption as a focused role.
• Public contributions or open-source work in the agentic AI space.
