THE WORK
As a Delivery Project Manager at IQM, you will own the end-to-end delivery of customer projects, from planning through installation and handover, serving as the main link between customers, sales, production, and R&D. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role that involves regular travel, on-site project work, stakeholder management, budget and risk oversight, and coordination across technical and business teams. Beyond project execution, you will help improve delivery processes as IQM continues to grow. The Delivery Project Management team currently consists of two members and plays a critical role in customer success, offering a high level of ownership, visibility, and impact across the organization.




WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
* Own project delivery end-to-end: Plan, execute, and track everything needed to deliver customer projects on time and on budget, working closely with the delivery team and production at every stage.


* Be the customer's main contact: Take over as the primary customer interface after contract signature. Keep them informed, conduct site surveys independently, produce the related reports, and make sure there are no surprises.


* Connect the dots across teams: Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings with sales, R&D, and production; keep all stakeholders aligned on goals, progress, and blockers and translate between technical and business language as needed.


* Manage external partners: Coordinate subcontractors and collaboration partners; establish clear change management practices so external relationships don't become delivery risks.


* Own the numbers: Build and maintain project budgets, track actuals, ensure accurate cost reporting, and stay ahead of risks with mitigation plans ready before they're needed.


* Prepare steering committee materials: Bring the project picture to leadership clearly and on time, in collaboration with the product team.


* Coach and unblock the team: Support project team members, solve problems at the team level, and escalate to management only when it's truly necessary.


* Make delivery better over time: Contribute to improving how IQM runs delivery projects; collaborate with fellow project managers to raise the bar across the board.






WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* 2–3 years of project management experience in an industrial environment; engineering, operations, or manufacturing. You've delivered real-world, hands-on projects, not just managed spreadsheets.


* Hardware or deep-tech delivery experience: You're comfortable with complex, physical products, whether that's capital equipment, construction, or highly engineered systems. You understand lead times, tolerances, and why things take as long as they take.


* Degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Equivalent hands-on experience is equally welcome.


* A natural communicator and connector: You're personable, patient, and people trust you quickly even across cultures and time zones.


* Comfortable with ambiguity: You bring structure without bureaucracy, and clarity without oversimplifying.


* Willing to travel regularly for customer site visits, surveys, and on-site delivery work.


* Experience with quantum computing, cryogenic systems, or complex capital equipment.
