What you will do

• Build and actively manage a profitable and sustainable General Aviation portfolio.
• Define and implement underwriting appetite, strategy, and guidelines.
• Analyze portfolio performance to optimize returns and refine the underwriting approach.
• Represent the company in the London and international markets to build strong broker relationships.
• Collaborate across underwriting classes and with Claims, Reserving, and Distribution teams.
• Play a key role in developing and leading a high-performing GA team.

Requirements

• Strong General Aviation underwriting experience within the London Market (Lloyd’s or Company Market).
• Proven ability to build or materially contribute to a profitable underwriting portfolio.
• Commercially astute with a strong grasp of pricing, risk selection, and portfolio management.
• High levels of credibility with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
• Must be located in London.
