What you will do

• Drive strategy and impact connectivity within GM to influence the future of global vehicle connectivity.
• Develop and design state-of-the-art wireless connectivity technologies, including Cellular, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
• Lead multi-functional groups on technical initiatives and the generation of intellectual property (IP).
• Collaborate across departments to craft wireless solutions that elevate vehicle capabilities and industry standards.
• Represent the company at quarterly standards organization meetings, requiring 10-15% annual domestic and international travel.

Requirements

• Technical bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in wireless systems, connectivity, or telematics.
• Direct experience with global standardization organizations such as 3GPP, Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, Ultrawide Band, or IEEE.
• Proven track record of achieving standardization deliveries and influencing peers and leadership cross-functionally.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Ph.D.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in wireless systems or telematics.
• 5+ years of specialized connectivity standards experience.
• Expert knowledge of wireless communication standards, systems, architectures, protocols, and algorithms.
