What you will do

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies, enclosures, and integration components for unmanned systems and ground platforms.
• Work in short, agile development loops to rapidly adapt designs based on testing and operational feedback.
• Fabricate physical prototypes using 3D printers, workshop machinery, soldering equipment, and hand tools.
• Integrate mechanical prototypes with electronic components, sensors, antennas, and power systems.
• Test and validate prototypes in lab and field environments to identify weaknesses and implement improvements.
• Create technical documentation, including CAD files, assembly instructions, and parts lists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in mechanical design, prototyping, or product development.
• Degree or vocational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, CATIA, Siemens NX).
• Proven experience building and assembling physical prototypes beyond digital design.
• Expertise in 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA/SLS), including material selection and tolerances.
• Ability to obtain EU/NATO security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in defence, aerospace, UAVs, robotics, or automotive environments.
• Knowledge of basic electronics integration, cable routing, and embedded hardware.
• Experience with CNC machining, laser cutting, composite materials, or sheet metal.
• Strong German language skills.
