What you will do

• Create high-fidelity prototypes for mobile and tablet interfaces for UDS Fleet Management.
• Conduct UX research and testing to iterate on UI solutions for field operators in high-stakes environments.
• Define product concepts, high-level workflows, and micro-interactions for mission-critical tools.
• Build and maintain user personas, user journeys, and a shared component library.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless cross-product integration and feasibility.
• Design for offline-first, disconnected operations, and rugged device constraints.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 3-5 years of product design experience, including 1-2 years in enterprise mobile/tablet applications.
• Proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, variables, and responsive design techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Android (Material Design) and iOS (HIG) design patterns.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum) for mobile contexts.
• Portfolio demonstrating successful web-to-tablet responsive design for complex workflows.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with command-and-control systems, field tools, or military/government software.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, containers, and air-gapped environments.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate UX processes.
• Experience designing for rugged devices, dark mode, and high-contrast outdoor themes.
