What you will do

• Lead the technical direction and execution of early-stage HGA process development and innovative concepts.
• Oversee metrology strategies and modeling roadmaps for slider attachment and HDD head interconnect technologies.
• Institutionalize KPIV/KPOV engineering disciplines to foster a data-driven culture and structured decision-making.
• Develop tool concepts and equipment strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Partner with US-based design and materials teams to align process development with future architecture needs.
• Define and lead the transition of validated concepts to integration teams, providing clear process windows and risk documentation.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in engineering, specifically in material science or advanced process development.
• Strong background in nano-materials, metals, or metal-composite materials and deep research projects.
• Experience leading technical teams in ambiguous, early-stage development environments from concept to solution.
• Solid understanding of data-driven engineering, structured problem solving, and statistical thinking.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams, including regular cross-time zone collaboration with the US.
