What you will do

• Identify and source software businesses that align with acquisition criteria and performance metrics.
• Execute targeted prospecting campaigns and build relationships with prospective targets and investment banks.
• Lead preliminary evaluations, including financial due diligence and risk assessments.
• Manage and maintain a robust deal pipeline, ensuring consistent updates and momentum.
• Conduct industry research to identify trends and uncover new acquisition opportunities.
• Synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights and presentations for the broader team.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 2–3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Development.
• Prior experience with software M&A transactions is a must.
• Solid foundation in accounting principles and advanced financial modeling skills.
• Professional maturity and confidence in interacting with C-level executives.
• Strong analytical ability and advanced proficiency in Excel.
