What you will do

• Lead wafer fabrication of advanced head devices from concept to feasibility demonstration.
• Design wafer build plans including CAD, process modules, and success criteria.
• Coordinate unit process owners (deposition, litho, etch, CMP, wet process) for prototype readiness.
• Manage wafer supply, WIP decisions, and daily velocity parametrics.
• Solve defect modes related to process module integration and explore new hardware paths.
• Contribute to IP portfolio via patents, invention disclosures, and peer-reviewed articles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's with 12+ years, Master's with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years experience in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
• Must be able to work in clean room and laboratory environments in Bloomington, MN.
• Strong hands-on experience with wafer device builds in industrial fab environments.
• Expertise in CAD layout, WIP management, and wafer-scale integration.
• Knowledge of lithography, deposition, etch, CMP, and wet processes.
• Proficiency in characterization techniques (AFM, SEM, FIB, etc.) and statistical methods (DOE, ANOVA).
