Location: Hybrid (Austin, TX) — 2 to 3 days onsite per week

Salary: $186,251 - $208,959 per year

What you will do

• Define and evolve the multi-platform (web + mobile) design system architecture, governance, and scalability principles.
• Own the system roadmap and prioritization based on product needs, adoption gaps, and performance.
• Design and implement core components with intuitive, flexible APIs, variants, and composition patterns.
• Establish a best-in-class tool-to-code pipeline using Figma, Claude, and Builder to prevent design-production drift.
• Standardize AI-assisted workflows to structure components for AI-friendly generation and improve consistency.
• Mentor designers and engineers while creating comprehensive documentation to accelerate development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in front-end, design, or creative engineering with a strong mobile focus (iOS/Android).
• Proven track record of building and scaling design systems across multiple products and teams.
• Proficiency in React (Web) and React Native, along with modern front-end architecture.
• Deep expertise in design craft, including typography, motion, interaction, and visual systems.
• Experience implementing design-to-code pipelines and using tokens.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Austin, TX (2-3 days onsite).

Nice to have

• Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer platforms.
• Familiarity with Storybook, visual regression tools, and token management systems.
• Experience translating brand systems into scalable product UI.
• Exposure to AI-native development environments and workflows.
