What you will do

• Manage and process software license requests, validating business justifications and ensuring appropriate approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of licenses, subscriptions, and contracts, including tracking keys and renewal dates.
• Reconcile software deployments against purchased entitlements and usage data to ensure compliance.
• Support internal and external software license audits by gathering evidence and preparing position reports.
• Identify unused or duplicate licenses to drive re-harvesting initiatives and reduce software costs.
• Produce detailed reports on license usage and compliance status while improving governance workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), ITAM, IT procurement, or vendor management.
• Strong understanding of various licensing models, including SaaS, user-based, core-based, and consumption-based.
• Ability to accurately interpret software contracts, license agreements, and vendor documentation.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or BMC Remedy.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SAM/ITAM tools like Flexera, Snow, or ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• Familiarity with discovery tools such as SCCM/MECM, Intune, Tanium, or BigFix.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or Oracle.
• Relevant certifications: ITIL Foundation, IAITAM (CSAM/CHAMP), or vendor certifications (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
